There are many resources on the Internet for learning Chinese and other languages. Since the
majority of our business concerns teaching Chinese there are the following links. They are
organized under category headings.
Most of these sites I found from
Learning Chinese online web listing.

You can look at them in
Alphabetical Order as well on this website
Top 5 Chinese Learning Sites

1.Oxford University CTCFL: This supplementary Chinese course of 22 video lessons in
simplified characters at elementary-intermediate level is suitable for students who have
already learned Chinese for at least 3 months. There are video lessons, vocabulary
lists with English and Pinyin, Java grammar activities, and even  a character writing
demonstration. However this is written by Chinese nationals seen in the lack of Pinyin
in the scripts and lack of listening or speaking exercises. Still a quality site.

2.
http://www.chinese-tools.com/ This site is busting out with create Chinese resources.
It has a decent beginner lesson. Though you have to click on the parts of the lesson to
play phrases in the beginning. It is quite an interesting site. The access to dictionaries
and a Flash card generator word well. There are other Flash card sites but this one
has the lessons in addition to the flash cards. A great synergy.  Although there are
links to newspaper reading and Poetry. Still this is best for the beginner to
intermediate level students.

3.
Do it yourself Chinese
This Confucius Institute and the University of Michigan has some good, if slightly dated
video lessons. There is not much in the way of exercises but the vocabulary is there. It
was made by the Chinese Panorama series so has a Chinese pedantic flavor. Overall
though a good site with significant Chinese learning content.

4.
website: http://www.chinaworld.co.uk
Description: A guide to travel in China

5.
Online Chinese Tone Drill tester In this simple site you can practice your listening
of tones. Although you might say this seems so simple, for western students of
Chinese differentiating tones is a skill that many students don't master completely.

Quizlet.com - a great flash card site
Top 3 Chinese Blogs and discussion boards

www.chinese-forums.com
This forum hosted by Roddy is a great source for learning Chinese and solving
problems that arise from living in China. Unlike several ESL sites, Roddy doesn't
tolerate unwarranted China bashing and there is a good discussion that takes place
there.  If you a confused about something China related it is a good place to go.

All roads lead to China This Blog is excellent and insightful. Dealing with Ex-pat
issues and learning Chinese it is a good site.
